3)   Networking

       The word networking is the combination of ‘net’, ‘work’, and ‘ing’. Net means collection of two or more computer/segment /nodes. Work means performing a particular task together and ing means continuously. Networking technology creates the relation between large numbers of work stations in a single network by using guided or unguided data communication devices. It helps to increase the overall performance of modern organization. The benefits of computer networking are:

i)                    It helps in sharing of hardware resources.

ii)                   It also helps to create the data centralized.

iii)                 It also helps to control the network terminals.

iv)                 It helps to minimize the data transmission cost and helps to maximize the performance and reliability of the organization.

v)                  It is easy to share the internet.

vi)                 Controlling can be done locally as well as remotely.

Some of its demerits are also listed below

i)                    It is expensive to install.

ii)                   Skillful persons are required to handle network.

iii)                 Unauthorized persons may hack or tapped the whole networking if security system is weak.
